Busy, Busy, Busy - New 2015 Safe Model Lineup, ShotShow and More!

Everyone here at Vault Pro is busy.  For the past few months we have had to keep our heads down, dig deep and try to keep up with an almost overwhelming demand for safes, gun safes and vault doors.  We have cranked out some pretty awesome stuff that I haven’t had time to share with you until now.

We have been planning a complete overhaul to our lineup for 2015.  Along with a website update and the addition to a dealer line of safes, we have begun setting up distribution across the nation.  If there are any gun stores or safe outlets that could use a bad ass line of all American Made safes as an alternative to the same thing everybody already has…give me a call.

Right now we are finishing a group of safes that will be delivered to Heath Moore at Moore Security in Houston Texas for his second stores Grand Opening on December 6th.  I plan to be there along with a big bunch of safes for our like-minded friends in Texas.

We are also under pretty short deadline to the SHOT Show January 20th thru the 23rd at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.  If you are planning to attend, our booth number is 3851, make sure to stop by and see us.

Over the next few days I will showcase a fantastic group of Vault Pro products our clients have asked us to commission on their behalf.  This is just a preview. Check out more preview images of our 2015 models below. Much more to come.

All the best,

Tony

What's the difference between Redundant Locking Systems & Dual Locking Systems?

What's the difference between Redundant Locking Systems & Dual Locking Systems? Which one is better?  Why would you need one or the other?

I get these questions a lot and the first part of the answer is simple:

"Redundant Locking Systems" have two separate ways to open a singular lock.

"Dual Locking Systems" have two separate locks, and both must be unlocked independently of one another.

In order to know which one is better or determine if you need a redundant or dual locking system, you need to understand the functions of each.

Redundant and EMP Proof Lock
Dual lock system for safes and vault doors
"Redundant Locking Systems" use an either/or approach to opening a singular lock.  You can open the lock with either the digital keypad or the rotating dial function. The idea is that you can use the simplicity of the Digital Lock for fast access on a regular basis but, in the case that the Digital Function should malfunction or your battery expires you will still be able to get inside of your safe or vault door by using the Dial Function. The Redundant Locking System is the locking system that you will need in the case an Electromagnetic Pulse or "EMP" knocks out your electronic/digital lock, because you will still be able to open your lock using the dial. If for what ever reason you don't trust Digital Locks but still want the simplicity of using one (with a back up plan of course...) then this is the lock for you.

In a "Dual Locking System" there are two separate

locks...both locks must be opened independently of each other in order to be able to retract the locking bolts and open the door on your safe or vault door.  Commonly known as a "Partners Safe," where the "Partners" each have their own combination. The Dual Locking System would require both partners be present  in order to open the safe adding an added level of security to a company's safe or vault door.  This also works when partners don't trust each other.  If you are a company owner and the book keeper or manager need access to the safe during the hours of the day when you are around, this is the way to go because you can give a combination to that person and while you are there the safe can be accessed by whomever you trust and when you lock your portion of the safe/vault door even that person is locked out.

A properly set up Dual Locking System is more secure than a Redundant Locking System for a couple of reasons.

1.  A Dual Locking System requires two separate locks and a Redundant Locking System uses only one lock.

2.  I can't speak for my competitors, but here at Vault Pro we set up multiple re-lockers for each lock on a Dual Locking System essentially doubling the number of re-lockers in the system.

Any number of different locks can be used in a Dual Locking System. Most common is the Dual Rotating Dial Locks or the Rotating Dial Lock & Digital Lock.  You can also use Biometric Digital Lock & Dial Lock, Dual Digital locks (both combination numbers have to be punched simultaneously...pretty tricky for one person), or just about any other combination of locks you desire.

Which is better depends on your situation. Call and we'll be happy to discuss the best option for you.

Thanks for visiting.

A Gift from A Friend

After watching in amazement the Crazy Painter Mr. Tom Kelly add his touch to a handful of safes in my shop, I realized just how fortunate I am to call a true artist such as Kelly my friend and have his work grace a select few products I build. Later that day after a good clean up, Kelly handed me a file folder and said “Consider this a gift from a friend.” I opened it up to see a group of original art ideas for Vault Pro’s logo. As I turned the pages from one to the next, the logo’s and art got better and better. I had planned to update the logo soon but wasn't ready just yet to make the change. Choosing only one became a difficult choice so I decided I would use several of them and in the future I will be rolling them out for client’s choice.  Check out the four I decided to go with and let me know which one you would like on your safe or vault door.

My sincere thanks to Mr. Tom Kelly…Thanks for being such a great friend.

Even more - Why We Are the Big and Custom Safe & Vault Door Specialists.

Part six of five:

Five of five segments last week just wasn’t enough to show you what goes on here at Vault Pro. So, part six of five is simply a continuation of last week’s showcase showing more custom stuff that didn’t quite make the first cut but is still pretty cool. Enjoy.

Ultimate Wall Safe

Custom wall Safe with thick steel, stainless steel and American made interior L.E.D. custom lighting.
Ultimate Wall Safe with super thick steel, stainless steel
and American made interior L.E.D. custom lighting.
I usually don’t like to build small safes but this was a pretty cool idea and it turned out really cool and really heavy.  Super thick steel, stainless steel, and then more steel make up this small but mighty wall safe.  It is built to fit into an already existing concrete wall opening.  If the wall should ever crush, this safe will live on.  The American made L.E.D. lights are automatic and turn on when the door is opened revealing the contents of the safe.  After its intended concealment few will ever see the safe and even fewer its interior.

At 7 foot tall and 4 feet wide, this in-swing hinged Executive Series Vault Door is built to be tied to rebar and poured in place in a monolithic concrete structure.

There is also a 36” x 36” in-swing hinged Pro Escape hatch to match. The escape hatch received a primer coating and will be finish painted after in place installation.

Pour in place or Lag-in, Ballistic Resistant Vents

Ballistic Resistant Vents
AR500 louvers and backing will repel or capture just about anything shot at it while allowing ample air flow into your vault.  When closed the door seals on a Palusol gasket that is designed to seal in the case of fire.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Stay tuned for even more. We are always innovating and creating the finest safes, doors and shelters for our customers.

Why We Are the Big and Custom Safe & Vault Door Specialists

Part Five of Five:
Very big custom gun safe made in USA
"Beer Money" The Biggest, Baddest and
Heaviest Safe ever built by Vault Pro USA.

By far the heaviest gun safe I have ever built, this Monster Gun Safe™ (nicknamed “Beer Money”) not only dwarfs all of our competitor’s standard safes, it by far outweighs every other gun safe on the market.  Graffunder you say…huh…not even close.  The inside layer of stainless steel alone weighs more than my car and there is at least three times more steel in the body of this Monster than there is stainless. The “Safe in Safe” weighs more than most of my competitors safes in their entirety and there is enough space in the hidden floor compartment to stash away over a ton of ammo.

One Way George laid down a Platinum Gloss Finish and the Crazy Painter Tom Kelly, as only Tom Kelly can…created a one of a kind piece of art that anyone would be proud to own…as proud as I am to be showing it to you now.  However, out of respect for our client and in keeping with our standards of confidentiality, we have chosen to blur the words at the top of the safe.  I am sorry that you don’t get to see it (it too is beautiful) & I hope you can understand.  Keep in mind that personal information will be kept strictly confidential and never traded or sold to any one for any reason by Vault Pro.

It has been a fantastic week here at Vault Pro.  I really enjoyed showing you some of what I see here every day.

Stay tuned for even more...

Why We Are the Big and Custom Safe & Vault Door Specialists

Part four of five:

Monster Vault Door by Vault Pro USA
This Monster Vault Door features four massive
pin bearing hinges each rated at over 2000 lbs.!

One very lucky gold mine in South America will be installing this Custom Monster Vault Door™ on their gold storage vault.  The door and frame on this thing weighs so much that our forklift won’t lift it…not even a little bit.  Check out those hinges, each pin bearing hinge is load tested and rated at over 2000 lbs. This door needed four of them to be safe. You can push the door with the slightest touch of a finger and the gap between the door and frame is (as always) less than 1/16th of an inch.  You don’t want to close your finger in this door.  Check out that 1” solid bent steel frame.  Ask any of our competitors if they can bend a 1” solid steel frame for your door.

This Monster Vault Door™ (large enough to drive your forklift thru) proves once again that Vault Pro is your big and custom safe and vault door specialist.

Part three of five:
One Bad Ass Custom Gun Safe featuring
Shelby Stripes, Ford logo and Eagle by Tom Kelly

It isn’t the biggest safe leaving here today but it is undeniably one “Bad Ass Safe”.  Metallic Oval Blue and twin white Shelby stripes by One Way George along with some all American red, white and blue Pinstripes and artwork by the one and only Crazy Painter Tom Kelly make this custom Huntsman II the most custom safe leaving here today.  LA Gard Digital Lock and polished solid stainless steel 5-prong handle finish the appearance package on this  100% American Made Huntsman II that is also equipped with full electricity, automatic L.E.D. Lighting (also American made), Pistol Pro Door Backing and 2300° Ceramic Fireproofing under a heavier than normal layer of cold rolled steel.  What’s more American than that?

Detail on Eagle and Ford logo are unbelievable.

Why We Are the Big and Custom Safe & Vault Door Specialists

In keeping with our reputation of being your big and custom gun safe specialists, we are building even bigger safes and vault doors, and doing more custom work now than ever before.  To prove my point, starting today and every day this week I will pick one of the biggest or most custom products from our finish line and showcase it for you on the day it ships from Vault Pro.

Part one of five:

Giant Custom Safe built by Vault Pro for U.S. Mint

This giant safe barely fit in the semi
used to transport it to the U.S. Mint.
Vault Pro was the first and only choice for the U.S. Mint Headquarters when they needed a custom safe.   Check out the picture of this safe on the truck, this thing is huge.  In fact, any larger and we wouldn’t be able to fit it into a truck.  The same quality and exacting standards go into every one of our safes.  If you need something built like the one the U.S. Mint has or maybe you want to go really big, Vault Pro will be happy to build an all American made safe or security solution just for you.

Stay tuned for part 2

Gun Safes - Is Bigger Better?

IS BIGGER BETTER?

When it comes to protecting your guns and other valuables a bigger safe is almost always the better choice. Trying to save a few bucks now by buying a small cheap safe could end up costing you far more in the future.

Most of us get a safe that is just big enough to hold our current collection of rifles, shotguns and handguns. When you add more firearms to the collection something is inevitably not going to fit. And don’t forget your ammo. With the high cost of ammunition today you’ll want to protect your investment against loss and the elements.

There are a number of other factors to consider when purchasing a new safe. What about jewelry, family heirlooms, important documents and other valuable property that should be stored in your safe? Where will it go? How much total space do you need? Do you require quick access? You may be better off with a two door model. Are you looking for maximum fire or burglary protection – or both?

One of the reasons I started this company was the lack of safe models that fit the criteria most gun enthusiasts are seeking. Most people look at cost first, which is the wrong approach. An average consumer may go to one of those big box stores and see a safe for a relatively low price. It looks good on the floor and they think it should work fine for their valuable collection of firearms. They can be so mistaken. ALL of those safes are cheap foreign made imports. They provide minimal protection against burglary or fire and can have a high failure rate through ordinary use. Why would one put their valuables and safety at risk by purchasing a cheap safe? And most importantly, those safes don’t have anywhere near the capacity that a true gun collector requires.
We are big safe specialists. All our safes are made in the USA, so you can count on a quality product that is made in America. Our Monster Gun Safe™ is the biggest baddest gun safe you can find. It holds up to 100 long guns plus ammunition. More space than you need? Our Titan model is our most popular big safe. It can hold up to 42 long guns with scopes.

Our first suggestion is to do an inventory. Look carefully at your current collection and also take in to consideration future growth. Do a checklist of all the features you feel are most important to you then call us to talk with one of our true gun safe experts. One of our standard models might work perfectly for your requirements or you may be looking for a custom solution. We produce gun safe models for homeowners and businesses. We also make safes for law enforcement, local, state and Federal government agencies.
We are not a one size fits all company. One of our standard models may be perfect for all your needs, or you may be interested in a custom solution, including custom artwork that reflects your personality or business. Call us to discuss your requirements. We look forward to being of service to you. You can reach us at: 800-299-6929. We are also on the web at vaultprousa.com.

2014 SHOT Show

With over 67,000 attendees, the 2014 SHOT Show was bigger and arguably better than ever before. Vault Pro joined 1600 of the firearm industries elite manufacturers, distributors and industry leaders as an exhibitor at SHOT Show this year. After meeting with hundreds of industry professionals and hearing their plans for the future, believe me when I tell you…”The Firearms Industry is alive and well!”

Vault Pro exhibited three fantastic new custom safes, two with 2” Step Doors, Automatic L.E.D. Lighting & Electrical, Custom Convertible Interiors, Custom Paint by One Way George, One of a kind hand pin-striping & branding by the Legendary Mr. Tom Kelly. We also showed off our new 4-way bolt locking system, our new satin nickel and black chrome handles and previewed our Hand Gun Pro Box.

Vault Pro’s new “Hand Gun Pro Box” (patent pending) was very well received and will be in production for the 2014 model year. For those of you waiting, I am going as fast as our patent attorney can go.

In the New Products Division we also displayed a glowing Bright Blue Metallic Huntsman Safe with Silver Double Pinstripe & Digital Lock. This safe has been dubbed the ‘Secret Squirrel’ and conceals two hidden floor compartments that are undetectable even with the door wide open.

The ladies were well represented this year. Vault Pro was located right across from Flashbang Holsters who had a nonstop flow of lovely and likely lethal ladies checking out their latest Bra Holsters. Shady Lady Shooting “Gun Cases For Girls” had pink everything on display. Tonya McCoy & Courtney from “Sergeant Molly’s” stopped by and will be setting up a woman’s shooting and apparel shop in Greensboro, North Carolina this year…Good Luck Ladies. Vanessa “TacticalGirl” Swainston was sleek and stunning in all black and ear to ear smile. I saw pink grips, guns, carry cases and pink accessories just about everywhere I looked. 2014 looks like a great year for women in the shooting industry.

Steve Sermersheim from Fort Knox and too many Browning guys to name came by to check out our safes as well as Curt Price from C.E. Safes who came all the way from Florida; Mike harper from California Safe Co.; Gary Kennedy from Kennedy’s Korner Gun Safes in Texas; Joe Greene from US Safe Room in Wilkesboro, North Carolina; Cliff from Cliff’s Guns, Safes & Reloading in Boise Idaho; Ron Godwin at El Cajon Gun Exchange in Southern California, Allen Loree from Defcon Shelters in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ben Tomb from Protector XT in Pocopson, PA, and too many other like minded individuals trying to keep our loved ones safe and our weapons secure.  I enjoyed meeting with you all and am looking forward to either working with you or competing with you this year.

I had a blast meeting with Outside Connections, Jim Braaten and his wife at the V-Bar tweet up Monday before the show.  Jim, thanks for everything.

There will be many shows and events during the 2014 year but SHOT Show leads off the year with a very hard to follow act.  Even though I thought my feet would fall off and my voice was lost for a couple of days I am looking forward to a much larger presence at the 2015 SHOT Show.  It too will be “TOO GOOD TO MISS”.

American Made Vault Doors

I got back to Vault Pro and flipped on the lights late Friday night after a four hour drive from exhibiting at SHOT Show 2014 in Las Vegas. Before me was one bad ass line up of custom vault doors like a line of soldiers standing ready at attention all wearing the Vault Pro name like a badge of honor. These soldiers will be shipped all over the country where they will be stationed and ready to defend untold weapons, personal treasures and individuals from fire, criminal activity and natural disasters.

Starting from the back was a massive Elite Series 2” Step Vault Door standing at 100” in height…it is certainly head and shoulders above the rest; Two custom sized Titan 1” Solid Steel 2” Step System Doors (one black with silver pinstripe the other white with Gold stripes); Two Custom Executive Series 1” Composite Steel Vault Doors both in black for delivery to the same company in North Carolina; Another Elite Series 2” Step Vault Door (Gray & silver pinstripe) with a full ¼” stainless plate in the door for torch resistance; a Professional Series ¼” plate steel door and a super wide in-swing hinged 2” Step System Door sporting a Moss Green finish and Gold pinstripe with matching hardware.

What you can’t see in this photo is the massively oversized 1” Solid Steel 2” Step System Titan Door being built right behind the doors pictured and the stack of steel that will soon be used for our next batch of American Made Vault Doors an Safes.

Looking forward to getting some rest, I swapped the truck for my car and headed home. All the way home I kept thinking about how long I have been working with this particular group here at Vault Pro, I am still amazed and very proud to see what a small group of dedicated and talented individuals can achieve in a week while I am away.

Celebrating Vault Pro 2013

Celebrating Vault Pro 2013

Celebrating our employees at the end of every year is our way of showing them and their families just how much we appreciate them and everything they do for Vault Pro.

2013’s year-end celebration was held at PF Chang’s at the Pike on Shoreline Drive in Long Beach.  We started by meeting over drinks in the lounge and then we pretty much took over the dining room.  Non-stop appetizers led to a huge variety of great food that by tradition was shared by everyone.  We toasted the end of the year and looked forward to the year just around the corner.  Decadent deserts and gourmet coffee’s finished off a fantastic night enjoyed by everyone.

A company is only as good as its employees. We have the best. They are a real team. Thanks to the efforts of our team we created an all-new 4-way bolt locking system, 360 degree rotating locking bolts. We prototyped our newest product the Hand Gun Pro Box which is soon to be released to the public (patent pending).

To the employees of Vault Pro and with all of my respect, appreciation and love I would like to thank all of you and your families for everything you do. I look forward to seeing all of you and working with you every day and I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish in 2014.
